Introduction

Before start using the Pagecall API, you’ll need to authenticate with our servers using an API Key token. The token is an encrypted string that identifies you and allows you to access our API resources in workspace scope.

In this section, we’ll show you how to generate and use a API Key token for your account, and how to use the token to make authenticated requests to the Pagecall API.

Generating an API Key

An API Key is available in workspace scope, which means you can create a different key for each workspace you have. To generate an API Key, simply goes to workspace settings and click “Generate” button in API Key section.

Using the API Key

To use the created token, it should be included in Authorization Bearer Token Header. Here’s an example code snippet for making an authenticated GET request to the /rooms endpoint using JavaScript and Axios:

const axios = require("axios");

const apiKey = "YOUR_API_KEY";

axios
  .get("https://api.pagecall.com/v1/rooms", {
    headers: {
      Authorization: `Bearer ${apiKey}`,
    },
  })
  .then((response) => {
    const { rooms } = response.data;
    console.log("Rooms:", rooms);
  })
  .catch((error) => {
    console.error("Error getting rooms:", error);
  });
